《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》

  《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》是一本由Mark Twain著作,BANTAM BOOKS出版的Mass Market Paperback图书,本书定价:US $4.95/$7.50 CAN,页数:320,特精心从网络上整理的一些读者的读后感,希望对大家能有帮助。

  《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》

●Maybe I am too old to read this book..~~o(>_<)o ~~

  ● Inspired by Douglass’s writing, Mark Twain depicts the cruelty of slavery which divests the white Southerners of their compassion and intentionally deprives the slaves of their intelligence.

  ●“All right, then, I'll go to hell”

_。谁来写Tom/Huck的同人文啊。_。

  《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》

  《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》读后感(二):Tom真的简直了

《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》读后感(三):Short form analysis

The setting of the book is in the pre-Civil War South and one of the main characters is a black man. As we know black people in history are all slaves due to the discrimination. The most well know theme in The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn is racism and slavery. In the book the character Jim is a slave, he escaped from Miss Watson because he wanted to prevent being sold again as well as the separation of his family. Jim ‘s escape showed his desire of freedom, he wants to be truly free from his body to his soul, therefore he works hard to obtain freedom for himself and his family. The author use Jim showed the humanity of slaves.

Another theme in the book is morality and Ethics. Huck met Jims who is a slave that ran away from the owner. Trough out the journey Huck learns that they really aren’t that different. Huck treated Jim differently from the rest of society, he treated Jims as a friend who is equal to him rather than a black slave. Huck’s attitude towards Jim showed morality.

  Conflict:

  Internal:

An example of internal conflict is when Huck is trying to decide whether he should turn Jim in or keep on helping him get to freedom. Huck was taught that helping slaves, befriending them, and even socializing with them was a wrong thing to do. He is now stuck on whether he should do what society thinks is right and turn back in Ms. Watson's "property" or go with his conscious and help Jim to freedom because he is just like any other person in the world. He learned to view Jim as a person no property.

  External:

when the conman sells Jim to a farmer, and tells him that Jim is a runaway slave and there is a reward price for whoever that finds him. Now Huck has to find a way to get Jim out of that situation without him getting sent back to St. Petersburg and still help him get to freedom.

《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》读后感(四):全人类的Huckleberry Finn

I was about to throw my fishing line in when I saw something else floating toward me.It was a canoe.

Then I found a wild hoglying dead in the woods. I put it in an old cornmeal sack and dripped some of its bloodon the cabin floor. I pulled out some of my hair and dropped it on the floor, too.

One day Pap saw me outside. I tried to run, but he caught me. He took me about threemiles up the river. He locked me in an old log hut.

Jim asked, “Huck, if you're here, then who was killedback at that hut?”

One morning I accidentally turned over the saltshaker at breakfast. I reached for someof it as quick as I could to throw over my left shoulder. If I didn't, I'd have somepowerful bad luck.

What could I do? I had to promise. And as much as I wanted to sneak through thatwindow and look for Tom, I just couldn't upset Aunt Sally anymore. With both Aunt Sally and Tom on my mind, I was restless all night. I crept out thewindow anyway, deciding not to go out of the yard. When I slipped around, I saw hersitting by the window with her eyes toward the road. It made me feel so bad, I decidedright then that I would never do anything to upset her.

It didn't take me long to figure these liars weren't really a king and a duke. They werejust a couple of low-down frauds. But I never let on. 'Cause there was one thing I didlearn from Pap. To get along with this type of folks, it's best to let them have their own way.

These families were fighting, and no one couldremember why.The next Sunday we all went to church. The men took their guns. They kept themresting between their knees during the service. I looked around and saw theShepherdsons were doing the same. It seemed kind of silly seeing as the sermon was about brotherly love.

I probably should've been sad, but I wasn't. I could go back now without any worries at all.

《The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn》读后感(五):The Journey on the River

Hemingway highly respects The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn, once claiming that it is the very source of American literature.

Despite of my indifference toward Hemingway himself, his comment is quite accurate.

Reading The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of my precious childhood memories, while its companion volume, The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn, seems to be written for adults, or at least teenagers on their transformations.

Huck’s journey with Jim on Mississippi is like a coming-of-age ceremony. He refused to be educated under Widow Douglas custody and managed to escape from his biological father, at same time faking his own death, which represents the breaking of connection with civilized society. He’s stepping into the Wild, going through tests in wasteland. However, such a young boy is almost impossible to handle all the dangers by himself. He need a hand from the experienced. Therefore, Mark Twain sent him Jim, an escaped nigger slave. It’s an interesting layout. A black man takes the role of surrogate father of a white boy right before the Civil War, no wonder so many literary critics interpret this novel from point of race.

It’ a journey toward maturity, as well as a process of maintain one’s childlike innocence. Huck has always been a free and smart boy. When lectured by Widow Douglas, he said to himself:

“If a body can get anything they prey for, why don't Deacon Winn get back the money he lost on pork? Why can't the get back her silver snuff-box that was stole? Why can't Miss Watson fat up? No, says I to myself, there ain't nothing in it.”

During the who process of learning gender norms when disguised as a girl, witnessing violence and romance between Grangerford and Sheperdson, being cheated by Duke & King. He kept his valuable character while sharpening his wisdom, by which he saved himself and Jim several times. At the first, he wanted to snitch on Jim a couple of times, then, he was moved by Jim’s integrity and decided to believe in what he actually saw rather than things other people informed him. At the end of book, he once again revolted against civilized world, searching for his free life in some undiscovered places.

y the way, Mississippi, the river stands for a peaceful and beautiful life in the book. Mark Twain also wrote a few sketches about environmental contaminations, criticizing human destruction toward motherland. I’ll attach some lines I feel touched by to end this article.

“Sometimes we'd have that whole river all to ourselves for the longest time. Yonder was the banks and islands, across the water; and maybe a spark——which was a candle in a cabin window; and sometimes on the water you could see a spark or two—— on a raft or a scow, you know; and maybe you could hear a fiddle or a song coming over from one of them crafts.”
