  为马尔克斯讲故事的能力佩服。在一个大故事下数不清的小故事是这本书最吸引我的地方。至于爱情,能坚持那么多年,我怀疑并且觉得不真实。尤其对老头最后对幼女的摧残觉得有点可恶,仿佛也能感觉到老头身上散发的老年的臭味。

  年纪大了是可恶的,每个人老了都会变得可恶,谁也逃不掉。

  看过这本书的都是冲着作者的《百年孤独》去的。当然这本书是差了点,没有那么多的魔幻,那么多人物,就是冷冷的讽刺和幽默也没有那么多。

  总的来说,我觉得这是一部现实的写爱情的书,也许因为现实,所以对于书中爱的激情,就有了一个冷静的描述。

  从青春的冲动,到中年的激情,到时间和岁月的磨蚀,慢慢迎来老年。也许说的是爱情,也许说的是加勒比海国家的世故人情。这是一部好的小说,写的好。从几个人的爱情生活中,还是写出了国家和历史,和人生的漫长变化。无疑是一本只有经历过一段人生的人,才能欣赏的小说。我个人认为年轻人也许不会喜欢,不过步入中年,体验过时间在人生的流逝的人,才可能欣赏。

  爱情是什么?作者也许并不做出回答,也无意用书中的人物来作为爱情的榜样。我认为作者写出了真实的爱情,其实看起来是丑陋的。爱情就是青春的冲动,单方面的思恋和幻想;是世俗,文化和传统影响下的个人体验,是人性的自然扩张,再加上一些千方百计的神圣想象。爱情是欺骗,是自我满足,是得到,是传宗接代,是人生太多故事中的一次次力图摆脱或追求。

  爱情还是什么呢?当然更多美好的词语是留给读者去思索的。

马尔克斯的《百年孤独》,能坚持看完的人并不多,我就从来没看完。不过这只能提升读者对于他崇拜的程度,因为,他是诺贝尔文学奖获得者,所以,如果他的作品不能被理解,那肯定是读者的问题。

他在自己获奖之后写的小说《霍乱时期的爱情》,则一反《百年孤独》的晦涩,是一部平易近人的作品。题材也是作家永恒的主题——爱情。

这是一种什么样的爱情啊。男主人公是一个私生子,女主人公是一个不法分子的女儿,其父一心想让她高攀上流社会的男子。男主人公对女主人公一见钟情,发誓非她不娶。虽然女方父亲反对,并将女方带到远方亲戚家里,依然不能阻止他们相爱。当女主回来再见到男主之时,却意识到这个爱情只是她想象中的幻境,她无法接受丑陋而贫穷的男主。她后来嫁给了当地家世显赫的乌尔比诺医生。而男主发誓他的爱情只属于女主。为了能配得上女主,他投靠在继承人全部死绝的叔叔门下,后者拥有一家轮船公司。最终他如愿以偿地接替了叔叔的事业。在女主从结婚到她丈夫去世的51年9个月零4天里,男主的确一心只爱着女主一人,并在他丈夫去世的当天就来到女主家中向她重申自己的诺言。不过,在这漫长的半个世纪里,他也没闲着,与六百多名各色女子发生过关系,如果再加上一些露水关系,那么这个数字可以超过一千。

男女主人公最终在两人七十多岁的时候实现了他们初恋的心愿。小说也在他们浪漫的河流邮轮之旅中划上了句号。

现代的文学作品早已没有了传统道德与习俗的禁忌,各种畸恋描写层出不穷,见怪不怪。不过看完《霍乱时期的爱情》之后,还是有倒抽一口冷气之感。

女主屈服于父亲的淫威和社会的习俗,嫁给她并不爱的医生而跻身上流社会。她在自己看似光鲜亮丽的生活中并不快乐,和医生在公众眼里美满和谐的夫妻关系的背后是失望、矛盾和痛苦。医生当初娶她也并非爱情,所以医生会出轨,在处理婆媳关系时也不敢反抗强势的母亲。两人的生活也是充满各种琐碎的互不理解和相互冷漠。不过,他们最终还是相安无事地庆祝了金婚,且医生在临死时对女主说的最后一句话是:只有上帝才知道我有多爱你。

男主一开始只知道浪漫的爱情诗歌和对于爱情执着的追求,虽然当时他在邮局工作的老板还开着一家妓院并经常带他到那里去,他依然为女主守身如玉。他在女主结婚后,他的母亲害怕他憔悴下去,就去求他的叔叔给他安排去遥远的山区工作,好让他忘记女主。结果他在坐船去那里时被一名陌生的女乘客夺去了童贞。有过这番体验之后,他领悟到自己不能就此枯萎,而应该活在爱情之中,否则,他可能会先于女主或者女主的丈夫死去。

他聪明的母亲也有同样的想法,把来他们家里避难的邻居寡妇安排进他的房间。从此,男主开始了他漫长的、与各色女子结成露水关系的爱情经历。不过,他对于女主的誓言一直未变,只不过他是用另一种方式来爱他。同时,为了以后能够配得上女主,他努力工作,一步步朝着自己的目标前进。因为爱情,他可以克服生活中的所有艰难困苦。

他对于其他女子的爱情也是完全不同于他对女主的爱情。对于这些女子,第一,他根本没有与她们结婚的念头,第二,他小心翼翼地不让自己制造任何会有损于他声誉的丑闻。有个女子因为被她丈夫发现出轨而被丈夫杀死,而男主在报纸上看到这条耸人听闻的消息后,第一个反应是看他的名字是否出现,在发现没有之后才松了一口气。这些女子,只是他在本子上记下的一个个名字和日期。就在医生刚去世之前,男主还和一位他所监护的女孩子保持着秘密的关系,而在医生去世之后他马上与她断绝关系,以便自己没有任何羁绊地去追求女主。当他和女主在邮轮上谈情说爱时,他得知了女孩自杀的消息,除了一声叹息之外,什么也没有影响到他生命中的爱。

正是因为男主如此丰富多彩的经历,他才能在女主怒不可遏地将他轰出家门之后知道如何再次赢得女主的芳心。他给女主耐心地写信,大谈人生,而绝不像自己在50多年前那样与她大谈爱情。他最终是靠自己的人生智慧再次赢得了她的爱情。

而老年人的爱情,虽然带着老年生活的种种不便,却依然可以像年轻人一样热烈和动人。

看这部小说,就是看男女主人公的人生,如同一幅长长的中国山水画卷抽,被慢慢地展开。作者用朴实的、不加修饰和评论的语言耐心地、详实地叙述他理想中的故事,除了男女主人公的一生,我们还看到了拉美的内战、瘟疫、落后、巨变和环境恶化。这种如同老祖父讲故事的手法与我非常喜欢的美国作家约翰·欧文十分类似。他们都是貌似随意地慢慢地、娓娓动听地讲一个长长的故事,只要你一旦开始听,就会深深地着迷并沉醉其中。

爱情,的确是文学家永恒的主题。当你以为自己已经读了足够的诗歌和小说,看了足够的电影,对于各种各样的爱情早已见怪不怪的时候,马尔克斯的这部小说还是会给你当头一棒,逼着你去思考:爱情,居然还能是这样?读者看男女主人公最初的爱情时感觉这不过是一个老套的少男少女纯真的爱情故事,而看到男主令人眼花缭乱的经历时则会困惑:这是爱情吗?

因为我们都本能地怀疑:一个人怎么可能一边随意与任何人发生关系,而同时又坚贞不渝地只爱着自己初恋的情人。那不是违背了爱情的独占欲和忠实吗?而且两位主人公的人生都太过美满,都顺利地得到了自己想要的一切。

这当然是一个不真实的梦,只存在于作者的想象之中,但是他用无数貌似平淡、实则有机的细节把每一颗他构造的爱情的珍珠串起来,从而就产生了这个令人惊奇的、差一点就令人信以为真的故事。
