Steve Jobs

《Steve Jobs》读后感(一):The journey is the reward

  【Childhood】

Intellectually special => his fourth grade teacher, Teddy, one of the saints of his life, had him tested, and he scored at the high school sophomore level.

Interest => math, science and electronics.

  【Odd couple】

Confidence => With Woz, they create a device with little circuit board that could control billions of dollars' worth of infrastructure. They believe they can solve technical problems and actually put something into production.

  【Reed College】

  ooks => <Be Here Now>, <Zen Mind>, <Beginner's Mind>, <Autobiography of a Yogi>, <Diet for a Small Planet>, <Mucusless Diet Healing System>.

Interest => Zen, Dylan, acid, and vegetarianism.

  【India】

ee => The people in the Indian countryside don't use their intellect like we do, they use their intuition instead, and their intuition is far more developed than in the rest of the world.

Opinion => Intuition is a very powerful thing, more powerful than intellect, it has a big impact on my work.

  【The Apple Marketing Philosophy】

Empathy => We will truly understand their needs better than any other company.

Focus => In order to do a good job of those things that we decide to do, we must eliminate all of the unimportant opportunities.

Impute => People form an opinion about a company or product based on the signals that it conveys. people do judge a book by its cover.

  【Money】

Opinion => I never worried about money. I grew up in a middle-class family, I learned at Atari that I could be an okay engineer, I lived a pretty simple life.

  【The reality distortion field】

Meaning => When he has an illogical vision of future, such as telling you that you could design something in just a few days, you realize that it can't be true, but he somehow makes it true.

  【The design】

elief => high-tech, clean, simple, beautiful, and white. Not like Sony's gunmetal gray, maybe paint it black, do weird stuff to it.

imple => It's not just minimalism or the absence of clutter. It involves digging through the depth of the complexity. To be Truly simple, you have to go really deep. You have to deeply understand the essence of a product in order to be able to get rid of the parts that are not essential.

  【Microsoft】

Opinion => The only problem with Microsoft is they have absolutely no taste.

  【The iTunes Store】

Opinion => The older I get, the more I see how much motivations matter. The Zune was crappy because the people at Microsoft don't really love music or art the way we do. We won because we personally love music.

  【Apple】

Apple is the only company to provide such integrated solutions company. Microsoft do software, Dell and Compaq made hardware, Sony digital production equipment, Adobe developing applications. But only Apple put these into together.

  【One more thing...】

  What he said =>

The journey is the reward, I did learn some things along the way. I really did.

I've had a very lucky career, a very lucky life. I've done all that I can do.

I'm about fifty-fifty on believing in God, for most of my life, I've felt that there must be more to our existence than meets the eye, it's strange to think that you accumulate all this experience, and maybe a little wisdom, and it just goes away, so I really want to believe that something survives, that maybe your consciousness endures.

  《Steve Jobs》读后感(二):Perfect life---Steve Jobs

I’ve just finished the biography of Steve Jobs , the closer to the end , the more I appreciate this book . When the last section comes , the last article comes ,and the last page ends , I know it’s time to close the book , meditating on this great man’s life , I want to show my respect to his marvelous achievements .

He is the one who get the crown of a realm of arts and technology , he has a strong belief that hardware and software should integrate perfectly , and they do . If it’s not for Steve Jobs , there may be no IPod, IPad, IPhone, IMac, ICloud and all the Apple series .It also arouses another philosophic topic which one is better ,open or close. Steve Jobs proves that close is much better than any other systems , Apple is the first rate company with the best hardware quality and software , Apple’s staffs are A players , they have the greatest ideas and strongest execute , they can make right from wrong , and they have the power to overturn others’ views , and they keep innovative , creation is deeply in their blood.

teve has a strong passion of reality distortion , and I think that means he has a strong belief that nothing is impossible , there is always a way out , he persists on his belief ,and forces others to execute his thoughts , which make a powerful team and a fruitful Apple.

We are born different , and our surroundings make us unique . His childhood and his parents play an important role in his character forming . His thought of being abandoned make some strange chemical reaction to his mind , and that explains why he is mercurial , why he is distant to his family ,in a degree.

According to what he said , he just want to create a enduring company , great enough to push forward the society and make fantastic products to the world . Every debut of a new product is the show stage of Steve , he is the soul of Apple , and he knows every inch of his products , his products can be no more perfect than this one . There are billions of Apple fans , they are crazy about each new Apple product , and they do have reasons . I have an Ipad , it make much convenience in my life , and I can imagine how wonderful Apple’s other products are . So unity and the ability to integrate is the most powerful weapon to conquer the world .

y reading this book , I realize how power a strong will can be , intuition can be productive and imagination make great arts and products. Nothing is impossible , the society develop in a forward way , nobody can change that , only those visionary people can perceive the trend in advance , and catch the waves of changing the whole world , Steve Jobs is that kind of person, and the world never let him down.

Maybe , his affection to Apple surpass his love to his family , but his love to them never ends , he shows a strong regret to his family , including his daughters , he admitted he owned them a lot , but he also admitted he had to appears mean to them , for his life is limited . He has to focus on the very few things he can do , to create a great Apple . He do achieve what he supposed to , but he lost his health when taking the rein of both Apple and Pix , his wrong belief in Zen also led his health to worse , finally he passed away at the age of 56, but his Apple became the most valuable company in this world , and his spirit will always be with us , like Albert Einstein and Thomas Alva Edison.

  《Steve Jobs》

I always find hard to memo all details or imp eg. after reading a book. However, I got to know the thing is I tend to focus more on speed than introspection. But today when I meditate on Jobs's uniqueness, I try to make a clear clue of his emotion. Not only to get to know him more, but to improve myself.

《Steve Jobs》读后感(四):still cannot understand him after listenning to this book

i listened to the audiobook. the biography is well written (though the end is much worse than the beginning - obviously it's written up under the time pressure) but it is talking about someone who does not interest me so much. Jobs is great in terms of his perfectionism on products and he indeed left some dust in the universe and changed our life, just look at the ipad, iphone and ipod we used everyday. but this guy is a torture to the people close to him, working for him and the one gave birth to him (and he also abandoned his daughter!). i really dislike the acts and thoughts and words made by him in his youth. after listening to this long book i still cannot understand him. i don't which category he could be put into in my memory, partly because there is no similar guy in my circle. he is just special.

  《Steve Jobs》读后感(五):A bipolar genius, a sensitive spirit

After I bought a kindle months ago, I've been reading some fictions at bedtime. Two months later, I found this biography which I had known for a while. So I stopped reading other books, such as Asimov's Foundation in Chinese (it is the third time I read), Darwin's Descent of Man (too bored to read at bedtime), and Uncle Tom's Cabinet (still in the beginning).

I think I admire Jobs somehow although I never admit. I like the simplicity in Apple products, but I also like open source software rather than the end-to-end packages. I like their design and functionality, but I don't like the fact that most Apple products are consumer electronics. And I feel the products are good to play with, but not worthy their prices. Anyway, I still think Jobs is a very special entrepreneur instead of a pure businessman.

I got known him better after reading his biography. I never knew that he was so emotional to cry before his colleagues, so bossy to insult people, and so shameless to claim other's idea as his. He was a human being with so many flaws. Yet he accomplished a lot and became an icon. That's something really fascinating.

It was the first non-scientific book written in English I've ever read. It took me about forty hours. I spent several minutes to one hour on it before I fell asleep. I had to say I enjoyed it.

想引用他自己在1995年接受采访时说到的,it all comes down to taste.

I am not control freak; just I am thinking I have to be responsible for all consumers using experience.

I don't know that anyone will ever understand me better than she did。

he recalled their Paris moment in a poignant email she sent to him twenty-five years later, after they had gone their separate ways but retained their spiritual connection: We were on a bridge in Paris in the summer of 1985. It was overcast. We leaned against the smooth stone rail and stared at the green water rolling on below. Your world had cleaved and then it paused, waiting to rearrange itself around whatever you chose next. I wanted to run away from what had come before. I tried to convince you to begin a new life with me in Paris, to shed our former selves and let something else course through us. I wanted us to crawl through that black chasm of your broken world and emerge, anonymous and new, in simple lives where I could cook you simple dinners and we could be together every day, like children playing a sweet game with no purpose save the game itself. I like to think you considered it before you laughed and said “What could I do? I’ve made myself unemployable.” I like to think that in that moment’s hesitation before our bold futures reclaimed us, we lived that simple life together all the way into our peaceful old ages, with a brood of grandchildren around us on a farm in the south of France, quietly going about our days, warm and complete like loaves of fresh bread, our small world filled with the aroma of patience and familiarity.

  Tina

Jobs’ relationship with his wife was sometimes complicated but always loyal. Savvy and compassionate, laurene powell was a stabilizing influence and an example of his ability to compensate for some of his selfish impulses by surrounding himself with strong-willed and sensible people. She weighed in quietly on business issues, firmly on family concerns and fiercely on medical matters. Early in their marriages, she cofounded and launched college track, a notional after-school program that helps disadvantaged kids graduate from high school and get into college. Since then she had become a leading force in education reform movement.

We didn't know much about each other twenty years ago. We were guided by our intuition; you swept me off my feet. It was snowing when we got married at the Ahwahnee, Years passed, kids came, good times, hard times, but never bad times. Our love and respect has endured and grown. We've been through so much together and here we are right back where we started 20 years ago—older, wiser—with wrinkles on our faces and hearts. We now know many of life's joys, sufferings, secrets and wonders and we're still here together. My feet have never returned to the ground.

  《Steve Jobs》读后感(八):Legacy of great product

  teve Jobs believes:

  1. Technology has to combine with arts.

  2. Great product starts with integration from end to end.

  3. First is to get great product, not to make money!

  4. Keep A players, never let B players to spoil your company.

  5. The ultimate sophistication is simplification.

It is hard to find another Jobs, who will work day and night with the most critical eye to check the quality of YOUR product.

This could be a longer life, but God won't permit someone to integrate everything.

Rest in peace and we will remember you always while looking at your products!

  《Steve Jobs》

Jobs did.

Hey buddy what's up.

o doubt that I'm one of the apple fans. It can go back to the high school, in which I bought the first apple product--iPod, which really made me feel good. It's hard for me to deny it partly due to the vanity inhabited in my body. Nevertheless, it's the product that made me start to appreciate how perfect and clean a product can be. And then, I bought iPhone, and then iMac! It's not the choice between those electronic products, instead, it's the choice for me to buy the apple or not. It has no hesitation for me to draw my sights on other devices.

teve Jobs, who is the only one on the earth! You can't imagine how mean he can b, how bad his words can be and how stubborn he can also be. However, due to those intrinsic personalities, he makes himself!

Apple thin different, that is to say, Jobs thinks different!!!!
